RO use in construction is rare in India, but it is increasing day by day. people are knowing the benefits of using RO water in construction . here are some FAQ of the benefits of using RO water in construction.

Q.1. Why RO water should be used for construction purpose?

A.1. These days ground water has gone very deep. Due to that, the hardness in water is increased drastically. Two major components of hardness are badly harmful for construction. The components are Chloride and Sulphate. If these components go beyond their specified limits it becomes Cancer for iron and cement and reduce the life of construction by 30 to 40 years. Therefore, RO water is highly recommended for construction purpose.

Q.2. What is the specified limit of Chloride and Sulphate in water used for construction purpose?

A.2. As per IS 456, the specified limits of Chloride and Sulphate is <500 mg/ltr.

Q.3. Does reverse osmosis treatments reduce Chloride and Sulphate?

A.3. Yes. Reverse osmosis treatment can reduce the percentage of Chloride and Sulphate in the water and brings them to desired level.

Q.4. Usage of reverse osmosis treated water in construction can affect the construction cost.

A.4. No. The effect on the cost will be just 0.12 of average sales price of the building, which is very negligible and will not affect the cost at all. This is only 4 rs per sq ft.

Q.5. Is it possible to shift the RO plant to other construction site after construction is completed on one site?

A.5. Yes, it is possible and advisable too.
